Gratefully, I was fortunate enough to bring back a set of hand-crafted singing bowls from the faraway country of Nepal. The bowl makes a very magical sound. Made of seven metals mixed together, they emit seven distinct types of vibrational frequencies. Hitting on the side of a bowl produces seven different notes is something that greatly delights and amazes me.
Not all bowls are hand-crafted the same by the artisans. Each work has its own distinct quality and its own charm for each person. I still remember the feeling when I brought the singing bowl back, the sound had a strong impact on the body, flowing a warm energy spread throughout my body. I can feel different vibrations resonate with my soul. So I chose this bowl.
I used to think that musical instruments must sound precisely on every single note it’s supposed to sound to be a good instrument. I was wrong.
From the love of singing bowls, I want to spread this joy to everyone, but this sound can’t be recorded to reflect the sensation of the feeling. I tested recording with the best microphone I could buy. The sound that I heard through the digital converter could not give me the impression that I used to feel. I came up with the idea of using another instrument to complement the sounds that my current old recording technology had. Thus, the combination of singing bowl and piano was born.
I’m hoping that this song can alleviate your soul. Especially now, when the COVID pandemic is wreaking havoc over the planet. Close your eyes and listen to the enchanting melody of the singing bowl. I wish you a peaceful experience.
